Five Dynasties Chan master, titled Minghui, of Bao'en cloister in Quanzhou; he first headed Xingguo. The Jingde chuandeng lu names him first among the seven dharma heirs of Fayin of Zhaoqing in Quanzhou, in the Xuefeng line. Known for meeting the demand 'without entering deliberation, state the vehicle of the ancestors directly' with a long silence, and then answering the monk's complaint with 'already sticky'.
